Richard Breese, floor tile installer

Richard Breese, 78, of Millsboro, formerly of Linwood, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Monday, April 22, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

Rich was born in New Brunswick, N.J. Sept. 7, 1934, son of the late Jacob Breese and the late Grace (Bernett) Pastore. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1951-54. Rich was a floor tile installer for a number of years before his disability.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to the casinos. His true passion however was his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He will be remembered as a loving companion, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Rich is survived by his loving companion and love of his life of over 20 years, Rosanne Cronin; three children, Richard Breese Jr. and his companion Kim Szerlip of California, Yvette Breese Modkins and her husband James of California and Carmen Breese Southard and her husband Chris of Florida; his adopted daughter, Victoria Chullin and her husband Millard of Millsboro; a brother, Russell Breese of Pennsylvania; and 11 grandchildren, Richard and Bradley Breese, Akil, Dejai, Yvette and King Truso, Jordon, Ayonna, Jaden and Julian Modkins and Jacob Southard.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m., Friday, April 26, at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, where friends and family may call after 4 p.m. Interment will be held privately at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.
