Sen. Ernie Lopez, R-Lewes, speaks at the fourth annual Blue Bow Ceremony held April 25 outside of Legislative Hall in Dover.
The ceremony recognizes Child Abuse Prevention Month in Delaware.
According to Children and Families First, there were more than 16,000 calls in Delaware in 2012 to report suspected abuse and neglect.
