Many games get overlooked because they aren’t plastered all over the advertisements you see on TV or over the webbernets. In order to do these games justice, we’ll handpick them for their high caliber in entertainment and satisfaction just so that they get the attention they rightfully deserve. We’ll call these inner looks into the shadowed world of gaming… “Under The Radar.”

Fans of Micro Machines v4 and Mashed Fully Loaded will be stoked to play Wrecked: Revenge Revisited, SuperSonic Software's most recent console release. In Wrecked, the sole goal is to get in the lead and survive. If you fall behind, a big orange line comes in from behind and eliminates you from the race. It’s pure, simple fun.

The single player mode is called “Challenge,” and it consists of four game types: Speed, Weapons, Skill, and Elite. Under each game type, you can choose “Supersonic Challenge,” where you are awarded trophies; “Personal Best,” where you try to beat your best time; and “Personal Rival,” where you can download ghost data from online players or your friends.

In the “Speed” challenge, the goal is to get around the track as fast as you can while racing against ghost data. The next challenge, “Weapons,” is a Twisted Metal-esque mode in which the player must destroy all enemy cars with machine guns in order to advance to the next track. In the “Skill” challenge, you must collect as many coins as possible within the given time frame while competing with ghost data. The last single player challenge, “Elite,” is pretty intense. A bomb is strapped to your car and if you hit any obstacles, you blow up. All of these single player modes are entertaining, but not enough to keep you satisfied for too long. That’s where the multiplayer comes in.

In today’s world, when gamers think of multiplayer games, they think of headsets. Long gone are the days of inviting friends over to your house to play a local multiplayer game with you…or, maybe not. Wrecked: Revenge Revisited will remind you of just how great local multiplayer is.

In the local multiplayer mode, you can adjust the settings to make your friends like you, or make them hate your guts. You can adjust the handling, set how many points to win, change which power-ups you’d like to have at your disposal, and more.

There aren’t many good games today that feature a memorable local multiplayer mode. Thankfully, Wrecked is one of the few that does it right.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, there is no active online community for Wrecked on XBL. When you try to start an online match, it always says “No players found.” Honestly, I don’t think the online multiplayer would be nearly as fun as the local multiplayer anyway.

If you are looking for a fun game to play with your friends, look no further. At first glance, the concept of the game may seem a little silly; however, once you start to play, you will need someone to pry the controller from your hands. It’s highly addictive, making for memories that will last a lifetime.
