Interested parties have until midnight, Tuesday, May 14, to submit a logo for the Friends of the Lewes Public Library Logo Contest. The contest is open to anyone in the Lewes area.
Friends will use the new logo on their letterhead, fliers, other Friends documents and on the Friends’ portion of the library’s webpage. Submitted logos should be clean, easily discernible and digitally rendered, with no copyright infringements or previously used logos. All entries become the property of the Friends of the Lewes Public Library. The Friends of the Lewes Public Library Board of Directors will judge the entries and select a winner by May 31.
A submission form, along with rules of the contest, is available at www.leweslibrary.org. A completed entry form, paper copy of the logo and an electronic version of the logo on a DVD should be sent to Friends of the Lewes Public Library Logo Contest, Lewes Public Library, 111 Adams Ave., Lewes, DE 19958.
“This is a very exciting time for the Lewes Public Library. We have had a lot of interest in the logo contest and encourage all creative folks to help us with a design that will embody the role of the contributions of the Friends of the Lewes Public Library. The Friends' fundraising activities enable the purchase of library materials and sponsorship of library programs for the residents of the Lewes Public Library service area,” said Candace Vessella, president of the Friends of the Lewes Public Library. “We look forward to the many submissions we will receive and we thank everyone for taking the time to support the Friends of the Lewes Public Library.”
