Donald T. Dunphey, retired IT manager

Donald T. Dunphey, 65, of Lewes, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Delaware Hospice in Milford. Born in San Bernardino, Calif. and raised in Hightstown, N.J., he was a resident of Monroe Township for 26 years before moving to Lewes.

Donald retired from Johnson and Johnson as an IT manager; he also worked for the State of NJ-Division of Health & Senior Services. He served in the Coast Guard, Search and Rescue. Donald was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 7291. He enjoyed boating and fishing.

Son of the late Wilbur and Lillian (Kaminski) Dunphey, he is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah (Erbe) Dunphey; his son and daughter-in-law, Donald W. and Michelle Dunphey of Hamilton, N.J.; a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Joseph Tindall of Clarksburg, N.J.; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Elizabeth Dunphey of Picayune, Miss.; and his grandchildren, Landon and Aiden.

He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Helen Erbe of Hamilton; brothers-in-law, David and Barbara Erbe of Pamplin, Va., John and Connie Erbe of Phoenixville, Pa.; and sisters-in-law, Rebecca and Scott Shropshire of Lawrenceville, N.J. and Rachel and Wade Ely of Bordentown, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call Thursday, May 2, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square, NJ  08690. Interment will be private.
