May 8, 2013

The Lewes community is gaining a new, experienced psychotherapist, Dr. Ada Gonzalez, who will be working at the Quakertown Wellness Center, 1307 Savannah Road. She will be offering her services to the people of Lewes on Wednesdays only, since she lives and practices in Milford and works a couple of days in Dover.

Gonzalez brings to the community not only her holistic and positive approach, but also her bilingual (English and Spanish) skills and international experience. She has helped many in the U.S., Latin America and Europe change their lives and relationships around.

Gonzalez is a licensed marriage and family therapist with more than 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples, parents and families. She loves people and is known for being approachable, compassionate, caring and practical. She communicates clearly and is able to share complex concepts in down-to-earth, practical ways.

A relationship expert, Gonzalez nurtures transformative conversations that facilitate change and help people live fuller and happier lives.

Gonzalez especially enjoys guiding people through transitions, aiding individuals, couples, and families to navigate important transitions and safely conquer new terrain, while keeping connectivity and having room for growth.

When asked about her therapeutic approach she says it’s evidence based, focuses on strengths, and uses positive psychology, cognitive/behavioral techniques, and language and systems thinking. She help people see life from a holistic viewpoint and experience the benefits of a positive outlook. She uses mostly a coaching style, and can adapt her style to people’s needs, drawing on her eclectic toolbox to help them achieve their goals.

Call Gonzalez at 302-399-3915 to make an appointment.
