Vessella, Reardon best choices to lead Lewes

May 10, 2013

As a year round resident of Lewes for over 30 years, I am happy to see the interest in our community as shown by the number of candidates for city council. This has not been the case for a long time and to me shows the increased interest in our great city.

I would like to ask the voters of Lewes to support Candace Vessella and Dennis Reardon for seats on city council. I have worked with Candace as a member of the board of the Friends of the Library. I found her to be efficient, task oriented, capable of listening to others and has great leadership abilities. I noticed the difference she has made while serving on the BPW through the increased communication with the consumers with the tours of of our plant, and written materials. Her background in the military gives her great leadership abilities.

My support for Dennis is related to conversations with him his ability to become involved with city committees and attendance at various city hearings and meetings. He is a Lewes native and a full time resident of Lewes Beach. He has a very unique manner of listening to people and one feels he will find ways to solve problems, find answers, and include citizens when possible. To the best of my knowledge he is the first resident of Lewes Beach to be a candidate for city council.

Both he and Candace have shown me honesty and integrity and will work for the good of all resident of our wonderful city.
