Lawmakers recognize First State Community Action

Sussex County legislators recognized First State Community Action Agency, a nonprofit organization located in all three counties, including Georgetown in Sussex County, which assists low-income individuals in becoming more self-sufficient.

The House passed a May 1 resolution designating May as Community Action Month in Delaware.  According to House Resolution 8, “First State Community Action Agency has made an essential contribution to individuals and families in Delaware by providing them with innovative and cost effective programs.”
