Lori Ann Bailey, in-home caregiver

Lori Ann Bailey, 39, of Frankford died unexpectedly in her home on Saturday May 4, 2013.

She was born in Milford, Jan. 19, 1974, the daughter of Bonnie and Burnley Wilder and William and Jean Ann Hastings. Lori was a graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, Class of 1992. Later, she graduated from Wilmington College with a degree in computer programming. She worked as a computer programmer for 10 years at Icelandic Corporation in Cambridge, Md., Trinity Transport in Bridgeville and Townsend’s in Millsboro. Most recently, she worked as an in-home caregiver for the elderly.

She loved riding dirt bikes and four-wheelers, going to the beach, county music, her dogs Rudy and Bruiser, driving her Ford Mustang, family celebrations, shopping and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a collector of antique agate and Longaberger baskets. Lori will always be remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate mother, daughter, sister and friend. She was always willing to do whatever she could to help those in need.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, William “Billy” Bailey and his father William “Bud” Bailey of Frankford; her sister Crystal Hastings and her son Phoenix of Philadelphia, Pa.; also, Jamie Downs and Jodie Cannon, both of Laurel, and Jason Brittingham of Millsboro, Deana Lynch of Georgetown and Burnley Wilder III of Dagsboro; her grandmothers, Yvonne Hastings of Millsboro and Evelyn Hudson of Dagsboro; a very special friend, several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Lori will be truly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Services were held at Melson’s Funeral Home in Frankford Thursday, May 9. The interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Dagsboro.
