The Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center on the beach and Boardwalk in downtown Rehoboth Beach at 101 N. Boardwalk unveiled the newly renovated rooms in its west wing May 7. General Manager Michael Ludden, Director of Sales & Marketing Barbara Brewer, Catering Sales Manager Lindsay Odenwelder, Facilities Director Tom Head and Front Desk Manager Jennie Goins greeted special guests arriving to celebrate the event.
Delaware Speaker of the House Rep. Pete Schwartzkopf, D-Rehoboth Beach, was on hand for the event, along with key leaders of many local tourism organizations. Carol Everhart and Kate Bell of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce joined Ann Marie Westerfield of Rehoboth Beach Main Street, Betsy Reamer of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Scott Thomas of Southern Delaware Tourism in a tour of the renovations provided by key members of the Atlantic Sands Hotel staff.
A total of 78 suites, including several meeting Americans with Disabilities Act accessibility standards, now feature new flooring, lighting, wall coverings, ultra-comfortable queen or king Serta beds, linens, curtains and stylish new furnishings in hues of teal blue, brown, purple, gray and tan. Corridors leading to these stylish new guest accommodations also feature new wall coverings, lighting and carpet in complementary colors.
The Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center is a full-service facility offering 180 overnight guest rooms, approximately 10,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space, the oceanfront Atlantic Boardwalk Grille restaurant, Mojo’s coffee shop, an outdoor Atlantic Boardwalk Café, an oceanfront outdoor pool and complimentary Wi-Fi service.
