Jon Jon Warren cracked two home runs and had four RBIs, and they were all needed as the Cape baseball team notched a necessary home win May 9 at Chris Short Field 8-7 over visiting Indian River.

Cape used four pitchers in the victory, starting with lefty Tucker Nickerson, who went four innings, yielding a run, then gave way to Tyler Clendaniel, Griffin Kammerer and Kai Vitella, who each pitched an inning of relief.

Kammerer was 3 for 4 with a double and a run scored.

The victory improved Cape to an 8-6 record with a four-game week to close out the season.  Cape will host Seaford, 0-12, Monday, May 13, then play at Woodbridge, 5-9, Tuesday, May 14.  The Vikings return home to play Delmarva Christian, 4-9, Wednesday, May 15, before closing the season Friday, May 17, at Saint Mark's, 9-6.
