Cape wins over Charter

The Cape boys' lacrosse  team waxed and polished the visiting Charter Force May 14 in the opening round of the boys' DIAA lacrosse tournament, scoring13 unanswered goals over the first three periods on the way to a 16-2 victory. Hunter Daily won 90 percent of the face-offs, so once it was on, it simply stayed on.

Multiple Cape goals were scored by Todd Keen 4, Justin Lopez 3, and Michael Hopkins and Blake Mann each with 2.

Cape had a 34-6 advantage in shots.

The Vikings are set to play Dover, coached by John Coveleski and Ronnie Allen, at  Legends Stadium Saturday, May 18. Dover defeated Archmere 10-9 to advance to the quarterfinal round.
