Lillian F. Twilley, quiet homebody

Lillian F. Twilley, 97, of Dagsboro passed away at home in the loving care of her caregivers Monday, May 13, 2013.

Born April 20, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Emma Freudig Polese. She was a quiet homebody who enjoyed her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Indian River Senior Center in Millsboro and St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bethany Beach.

She was preceded by her beloved husband, Paul W. Twilley, in 1978. She is survived by her special friends and caregivers: Thomas Williams, Doris Swann, Kristen Latshaw and Gladys Bunting. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded by her brother Lawrence Polese; and a sister Irene Bode.

A graveside service will be held at Prince George’s Cemetery on Route 26 in Dagsboro, at 1 p.m., Friday, May 17.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to either Compassionate Care Hospice, 28467 DuPont Blvd., Unit 6, Suite 6, Millsboro, DE 19966, or to St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, DE 19930.
