Summer Hours Announced for Beebe Medical Center’s Walk-in Care in Millville

On Memorial Day weekend, Beebe Medical Center will expand the Beebe Health Campus – Millville Walk-in Care Center’s hours for visitors and residents whose primary care physicians are unavailable. The Walk-in Care Center will be open daily, seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the summer season. The hours the center will be open during the fall and winter months will be posted before Labor Day Weekend. No appointments are necessary.

 

The Walk-in Care Center is in the Creekside Plaza on Route 26, just five miles west of Route 1. Located in the same shopping center are the outpatient services Beebe Imaging, Beebe Lab Express and Beebe Rehab (which offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology).

 

The Walk-in Care Center allows patients to receive non-emergency and immediate care at a more affordable price. Examples of the illnesses and health problems that will be appropriate for treatment in the Walk-in Center include:

 

 

  • Allergies
  • Cough, cold, flu
  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Bronchitis
  • Laryngitis
  • Strep throat/Sore throat
  • Sinus infections
  • Ear infections
  • Swimmer’s ear
  • Minor eye infections, pink eye, stye and abrasions
  • Bladder infections
  • Sprains and Strains
  • Minor burns, cuts and simple lacerations
  • Uncomplicated neck and back pain
  • Incision and drainage
  • Simple splinting

In the event of a life-threatening illness or accident, please call 911. This will allow the patient to receive immediate, emergency treatment by emergency responders and to be taken to the nearest suitable hospital emergency room.
