Daniel Weingrad, successful entrepreneur
Daniel Weingrad, 82, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013.
Originally from Philadelphia, Pa., he was an entrepreneur who started, owned and operated many successful businesses in Delaware and Pennsylvania. He spent most of his adult life and raised his family in North Wilmington.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 18 years, Joyce Lamont Weingrad.
He is survived by Susan Weingrad, his loving wife of 37 years; and seven children, Wendy Parker of Denver, Colo., Alexis Pineault (Paul) of Middletown, Ron Weingrad (Sue) of Centreville, Lee Weingrad of Philadelphia, Pa., Becky Weingrad and Nathan Weingrad, both of Wilmington and Mindy Snyder (Eric) of Chichester, Pa.. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Michael, Matthew, Andrew and Ethan; and two great-grandchildren.
Services are private for family members. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
