Audrey Kadron Townshend, registered nurse

Audrey Kadron Townshend, 86, who was born in Baltimore, Md. and lived in Brandywine, Md. and Rehoboth Beach, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2013.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Audrey was a registered nurse who trained at Franklin Square Hospital and worked at the Maryland State Health Department, Regency Nursing Home, Physician's Memorial Hospital, and Greater Southeast Community Hospital.

She was very involved as a community volunteer with her church, fire department, and childrens' activities. She is preceded in death by parents John Kadron and Frieda Kuhlow; loving husband Frederick Lansdale Townshend; brothers Jack, Carl and Stanley Kadron; and son-in-law Henry Tauber.

She is survived by brother Don (Vera) Kadron; children Barbara Tauber, Laura Alston (Chris), Peter Townshend (Dottie), Sarah Buffa (Phil), Lisa Townshend-Bulson (Ray), and Amy Talbert (Mark); grandchildren Jason Tauber, Rory and Christopher Alston, Josh, Kyle and Mary Townshend, and Christopher Marsh, Amanda, Ashley, Philip and Kristy Buffa and Jessica Beavers; and great-grandson Jamie Tauber, and many more family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 13 at 1:30 p.m., at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 14300 St. Thomas Church Road, Upper Marlboro (Croom), Mdd, followed by a graveside service, and reception in the parish hall from 3 to 5 p.m.
