African Adventure at Lewes library June 20

Presented as part of the Groundbreaking Reads Adult Summer Reading Program
June 14, 2013

Former Lewes Library Director Chrys Dudbridge, and four local friends joined a small group for a trip of a lifetime to South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe.

Come see and learn about their adventures on safaris in all three countries, along with the experiences in Victoria Falls, the Cape Winelands, Capetown and the Cape of Good Hope.

Dudbridge will talk about her trip at the Lewes Public Library Thursday, June 20, at 4 p.m. This program is one of three special programs presented as part of the Groundbreaking Reads Adult Summer Reading Program that ends Aug. 16.

Participants are asked to read and review books and attend library programs throughout the summer to earn smaller prizes such as books, T-shirts and reading logs.

At the end of the summer there will be drawings for larger prizes donated by local businesses, including gift cards from Arena’s, Baker’s Exxon, Victoria’s, and more. For more information about this and other library programs, call the library at 302-645-4633 or go to www.leweslibrary.org.
