Robert L. Tyndall, retired program analyst

Robert L. Tyndall, 86 of Dagsboro, formerly of Drexel Hill, Pa., passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Monday, June 17, 2013, at his home.

Bob was born in Mount Joy, Pa., Jan. 30, 1927, son of the late William Leroy and Reba Mae (Ream) Tyndall. He was a graduate of Drexel Institute of Technology and a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Tyndall retired as a program analyst with the federal government at the Defense Personnel Supply Center in Philadelphia, Pa. after 20 years of service. Bob enjoyed traveling, going on cruises, working on crossword, Sudoku and other types of puzzles. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Bethany Beach, a member of Mason Dixon VFW Post 7234 in Ocean View, a member of the American Legion Post and attended the CHEER Center in Ocean View.

Bob is survived by his loving wife with whom he just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, Eleanor (Rearden) Tyndall; four children, Terry (Tom) Magee of Lansdowne, Pa., Robert (Kathleen) Tyndall of West Chester, Pa., Richard (Ying) Tyndall of Folcroft, Pa. and Mary Louise (Butch) Biddle of Pennsville, N.J.; a brother, Richard (Thelma) Tyndall of Clinton, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 21, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob’s name to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
