Russell E.Morgan Sr., retired auto mechanic

Mr. Russell E. Morgan Sr., 73, of Wyoming, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013.

 

Mr. Morgan was born in Lewes to the late Frank and Bertie Banks Morgan. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Morgan in 2003; two sisters; and three brothers.

 

He worked as an auto mechanic and owned and operated the Phillips 66 Auto Service and Gas Station in Seaford. He loved his flower garden, taking rides with his son, William in his truck. He was a very good hearted and generous man who would give the shirt off his back to help someone else. He will be sadly missed.

 

He is survived by six children, Jeffrey E. Hunsucker and his wife Jan of Hartley, Theresa Bell of Lewes, Russell E. Morgan Jr. of Dover, Billy Keith Hunsucker and wife Eileen of Dover, William F. Morgan and wife Patricia of Dover, and Christopher C. Morgan and wife Judy of Federalsburg, Md.; two sisters, Janet Tingle and her husband Ray of Georgetown, and Mary Ann Baker of Millsboro. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; as well as special friends, Terri Moore and Mary Yun.

 

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 29, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be private.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.
