Young Marines hold graduation ceremony in Oak Orchard

The Sussex County Young Marines held an awards and graduation ceremony June 22 at American Legion Post 28 in Oak Orchard.

The Young Marines is a youth education and service program for boys and girls, ages 8 through completion of high school which promotes the mental, moral and physical development of its members. The program focuses on character building, leadership and encourages a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The Young Marines is the focal point for the U.S. Marine Corps' Youth Drug Demand Reduction efforts. At the ceremony several awards were presented along with the promotion of three Young Marines and seven boot camp graduates.
