Organ recital series begins June 27 at All Saints' Church in Rehoboth

WaterWorks Music Ministry of the Episcopal Parish of All Saints’ Church and St. George’s Chapel will offer its fifth annual series of organ recitals from 12:15  to 1 p.m. for seven consecutive Thursdays, June 27 through Aug. 8. Prominent visiting organists from the Mid-Atlantic Region will present 40-minute programs on All Saints’ Peragallo Pipe Organ, a beautiful prelude to lunch in Rehoboth or a stroll on the Boardwalk. All Saints’ Church is at 18 Olive Ave. in Rehoboth Beach.

Programs include the following: June 27 - David Lang, director of music and master of choristers for Saint John Catholic Church in McLean, Va.; July 4 - Robert Church, director of music at St. David’s Episcopal Church, Washington, D.C., and artist in residence at All Saints’ Church; July 11 - Michael Smith, organist and choirmaster at Church of the Good Shepherd, Rosemont, Pa.; July 18 - Robert Church; July 25 - Tracy Richardson, harpsichordist for Mélanomie, an ensemble highlighting baroque and early classical music, and also a faculty member at the Music School of Delaware; Aug. 1 - Julie Vidrick Evans, specialist in the music of J.S. Bach, director of music at Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C.; Aug. 8 - David Christopher, organist and director of music at The Episcopal Church of Saints Andrew and Matthew, Wilmington, conductor of opera, orchestral and choral music and voice teacher to many of the region's prominent professional singers.

The organ recital series has been organized by Robert Church. Some free parking is available in the parish parking lot adjacent to the rectory on Olive Avenue. There is no charge to attend the recitals, but a free-will offering will be collected to support the music program. Contact the parish office at 302-227-7202 for further information.
