Treasures in Lewes to host SeaGals June 28 and 29

Special weekend event features handcrafted sea glass jewelry
June 25, 2013

Treasures at 116 Second St. in Lewes will hold a special weekend event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29. Treasures will host both artists of SeaGals Gallery of Delaware, Sue Lemmons and Cheryl Eashum, who create beautiful, unique sea glass jewelry and seashell art.

As native Delawareans, Lemmons and Eashum have a true appreciation of local beaches and the natural treasures found along the shore. As sisters, they spent countless hours together beachcombing and collecting things over the years, which inspired their natural, unique items.

Their handcrafted sea glass jewelry and seashell art are created using items they find and leave in their natural state as much as possible, using a healthy dose of imagination. As children, they were always encouraged to be imaginative and creative.

“We have had such an interest in sea glass jewelry and coastal art, I wanted to be able to offer a wide variety to our customers at one time,” said Treasures owner Michiko Seto.

Treasures is open daily at 10 a.m. and extends evening hours in the summer season Monday through Saturday until 9 p.m. and Sunday 6 p.m.. To learn more, call 302-644-1660.
