Richard Lee Welch, retired sales manager
Richard Lee Welch, 71, of Milsboro, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
Mr. Welch was born in Salisbury, Md., Dec. 1, 1941, to the late Guy and Doris Mae Ruarke Welch. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Barbara in 2000; and brothers Robert Welsh and Guy Welsh Jr.
He worked at United Insurance as an insurance salesman and as a sales manager for Carlton Massey Ford for several years.
He enjoyed fishing, golf, playing guitar and especially singing and playing country music and Elvis songs. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends having a good time. He was a kind loving man with a great personality and never met a stranger.
He is survived by three children: a daughter, Kimberly Smith of Millsboro, daughter Dana Moore and her husband Andy of Newark, and Rick Welch of Smyrna; a sister, Marilyn Mortimer and her husband Bill; and sister-in-law, Gayle Welsh; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins and several extended family members and friends.
