Gordon-Costello nuptials held

Jennifer Elaine Gordon, daughter of Cheryle Lord-Gordon and Joseph E. Gordon Sr. of Harbeson, and Jacob Adam Costello, son of Meg and Phil Costello of Flanders, N.J., were married Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.

The ceremony was held at St. George’s Chapel, Harbeson, officiated by the Rev. Max J. Wolf, rector of the Episcopal Parish of All Saints' Church & St. George’s Chapel The bride was given in marriage by her parents, who were married at St. George’s Chapel in 1980.

Matron of honor was Hollie Gordon of Georgetown, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaid was Kelly Mark of Wilmington, cousin of the bride. Flower girls were Mackenzie Truban of New Castle, goddaughter of the bride, and Sophia and Isabel Meiringer of Sarstedt, Germany, cousins of the bridegroom.

The ring bearer was Mason Truban, of New Castle, the bride’s cousin’s son.

The best man was Chad Costello of Long Valley, N.J., brother of the bridegroom. The bridegroomsman was Joseph E. Gordon Jr. of Georgetown, brother of the bride.

Readers were Laura Ford, friend of the couple, and Mrs. H. Lynn Jankus, grandmother of the bride. Assistant was Shannon Chant-berry.

The bride, president of her class, graduated from Sussex Tech High School in Georgetown, and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Delaware in Newark. She received a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling from Seton Hall University and is a family and marriage counselor.

The bridegroom graduated from Mount Olive H.S. in 1998 and received a bachelor of science degree from Frostburg State University in Maryland. He is an environmental scientist with Tetra Tech in Christiana.
