Georgetown-based craft brewery 16 Mile is partnering with the Graceland Group to launch the 16 Mile Taphouse at the Stone Balloon Winehouse in Newark.

16 Mile owners Chad Campbell and Brett McCrea and developer Jim Bauerle saw a common vision of a world-class gastro pub featuring great local beer, a top-notch wine list and gourmet tavern fare.

No beer will be brewed on site, but the taphouse will feature 16 Mile beers and custom-made, limited-edition brews.

The Stone Balloon, located on Newark’s East Main Street, will shut down on Friday, June 28, and reopen Thursday, July 11.

“We hope this partnership between these two great Delaware companies give our local fans a great venue to enjoy some great food, beer, and wine,” said McCrea in a press release.
