Delaware Today celebrates Best of Delaware winners July 25
Delaware Today’s July issue, which highlights its annual Best of Delaware feature, hit newsstands June 28. The 25th annual Best of Delaware Party, which brings Delaware’s best restaurants and service providers together at one time, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 25, at Dover Downs Hotel and Casino.
Each year, the July issue of Delaware Today features the best that Delaware has to offer, highlighting favorites from dining to retail and services. With readers’ and editors’ picks spanning the entire state, more than 300 Delaware entities made this year’s list.
The party draws more than 2,000 guests and features samples of more than 100 of the participating Best of Delaware winners’ foods, drinks and services. The party also offers a variety of live entertainment acts and a robust silent auction featuring items from all over the state.
Proceeds from the Best of Delaware party have provided more than $1 million in funding to Delaware charitable organizations over the last 24 years through the Today Media Charitable Foundation. This year’s beneficiaries are Variety - The Children’s Charity, Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay and Kent County Fund for The Arts. This year’s grant recipients are Delaware KIDS Fund and Nemours/Alfred I. du Pont Hospital for Children.
Party tickets are available at www.BestofDE.com. Tickets are $55 in advance, or $70 at the door. A VIP ticket, which includes entrance to a preview party from 5 to 6 p.m. and first dibs at the hot items, can be purchased for $75. Parties of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $50 each.
