RAL, Sister Cities should be commended

July 5, 2013

Recently we saw the celebration of the 75th birthday of the Rehoboth Art League and the dedication of the garden downtown which commemorates our Sister City relationship with the town of Greve In Chianti in Italy.

In the first event, the governor and a raft of elected officials ratified the art league's status as a "jewel" whose growth over the years reflects such a strong heritage of Delaware art, community involvement and education...and that this must be allowed to continue without interference.

In the latter, Rehoboth Beach and the region showed their classy place in the international scheme of things.

All of us should bask with great pride!

There are far too many great and good citizens involved in these two projects to single out anyone...you know who you are.

Bravo Rehoboth Art League and the Sister City Garden of the Navigators.
