Ronald Tipton and William Kelly exchange marriage vows

Ronald Walter Tipton, left, formerly of Downingtown, Pa. and now of Milton, was united in matrimony to his longtime partner William Daniel Kelly, formerly of Downingtown and now of Milton, July 3, the date of their 49th anniversary.

Ronald and William were married by the Justice of the Peace Ann Besche at the Sussex County Courthouse in Georgetown.

Ronald is the son of the late Isaac Walter Tipton Sr. and the late Betty Hadfield Tipton of Downingtown. William is the son of the late Clarence Kelly and Emily Edwards Kelly Brown of Toccoa, Ga.

Ron and Bill's dear friends Jack and Judy Dawson of Lewes served as their witnesses.

Ron and Bill retired to Delaware in 2006. Ron formerly worked for Mellon Bank in Philadelphia, Pa. Bill formerly worked for RCA Electronics in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Ron now works part-time at the Inn At Canal Square in Lewes as a front desk agent. Bill is retired full-time. They will continue to reside at their home in Milton.

Their long-delayed honeymoon will take place in the spring of 2014, the year of their 50th anniversary when they visit Bill's hometown of Toccoa.
