Rehoboth fireworks trip not worth it

July 12, 2013

What a gyp!  Park and ride for Fourth of July fireworks for $10 a car.  We had to walk quite a way over an uneven grassy field, then wait in line for the bus, which, to our surprise, let us off at the Rehoboth Convention center.

Another long walk with blanket and chair to the beach, where we observed the usual piles of trash overflowing the inadequate trash cans.

Maybe the town should invest in more cans or pick up more often.

Then the long walk back to the convention center, and then - the horror of it all - a line of people that went down the back of the center and down to Second or Third streets.  It would have been nice to have had someone stationed down there to stop people having to walk up and back again.

More busses would have been a good idea,  Bad planning; good fireworks, but not worth the time, effort and price.
