The annual summer’s night alumni game featuring the Cape girls' lacrosse team in the form of Eastern Shore Lacrosse 2014 versus some seriously good and in-shape Cape graduates, many with Division I credentials, took place at Champions Stadium July 11 with the alumni defeating the ESLC 2014 team 13-10.

The game was tied at 6 early in the second half,  but the alumni pulled away for a victory that seemed not all that important to them.

"It was kind of sad being on the alumni team because it means my high school career is over, but it was really fun to play with my friends again," said recent graduate Anna Frederick.

Karalyn Joseph got great experience going against Meg Bartley of Virginia Tech on the draw controls. The alumni split goal tending duties with Jacki Coveleski playing the first half and Jenna Steele the second.

Playing for the alumni were Sam Coveleski, Jacki Coveleski, Erin Ricker, Meg Bartley, Katie Yeager, Teenie Bristowe, Jenna Steele, Kelly Smith, Sara Young, Anna Frederick, Liz Carpenter, Maura Johnson and Emily Farrell.

Eastern Shore players included Sarah Arrington, Sam Broadhurst, Katie Collins, Emily Creasy, Maggie Delp, Layla Fowler, Karalyn Joseph, Kat Judge, Meg Lingo, Jennifer Northam, Madison O'Leary, Kendall Olsen, Sammi Quilter, Amanda Smith, Lindsay Voss, Riley Wagner and Allie Yeager.
