Sandy Greene of ResortQuest wins SCAOR Realtor of the Year

Sandy Greene, associate broker of ResortQuest Real Estate, was awarded the coveted Sussex County Association of Realtors Realtor of the Year Award at the Annual ROTY Luncheon held June 7 at the association office in Georgetown.

This award is given to the SCAOR member who exemplifies the Realtor image and exhibits good citizenship and spirit both professionally and personally through organizations benefiting the community, county, state and nation.

“ResortQuest Real Estate is truly honored to have one of its own achieve this honor,” said Brigit Taylor, managing broker and broker of record for the firm. “With her dedication to the realtor community, she is the right choice for this award.”

Greene currently serves on the National Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Issues and Policy Committee. She has also served on numerous local, state and national Realtor committees such as director of SCAOR Board of Directors, chair of SCAOR-MLS Committee, member of Delaware Association of Realtors Board of Directors, member of DAR Finance Committee and member of NAR Environmental and Land Use Committee.

She has also attended NAR midyear meetings and conferences, and NAR national conferences and expos. She was appointed special advisor to DAR Public Policy Task Force on proposed DNREC statewide septic regulations and taught New Agent MLS Training, DNREC Inland Bays septic regulation implementation. She also participated in Legislative Day in Dover and NAR Home Ownership Matters event in Washington, D.C. in 2012.

“Real estate is a people business, and meeting people and creating relationships is what I love to do best,” said Greene. “Earning the trust of fellow realtors along with my customers and clients is truly humbling, and I’m honored to have been awarded Sussex County Realtor of the Year.”

Licensed for more than 28 years, Greene is currently the sales manager for ResortQuest Real Estate LLC and has won numerous awards as top producer. She has also obtained the Certified Residential Specialist and e-pro designations.
