Benefits Lewes Little League
July 20, 2013

The first Lewes Customs and Classics Car Show was held June 29 at Savannah Station. More than 70 cars were displayed, and the show brought many admirers. Froggy 99.9 radio was there as well as booths from Napa Auto Parts, 2 Dips Ice Creamery, produce stands and Chuckles the Clown, who made balloon animals for everyone to enjoy.

The event was sponsored by Hazzard Auto Repair, 2 Dips, Irish Eyes, Hazzard’s Toys, the Savannah Grill and the Auto Gallery.

The event included a 50/50 benefit for the Lewes Little League. The car show also had trophies given for People’s Choice, Business Award and the top prize of the Mayor’s Choice, presented by Lewes Mayor Jim Ford.

Many people came by just to see the vintage trucks and cars, and the customs. The show also had two antique police cars, a Vietnam tribute Corvette and many models that looked like they just came off the showroom floor.

The Lewes Customs and Classics Car Show will be expanded next year; it will again benefit the Lewes Little League.
