Deepak P. Chatani, local business owner

Deepak Prem Chatani, 37, of Rehoboth Beach, died suddenly Thursday, July 11, 2013, as the result of a pedestrian/auto accident.  Mr. Chatani was an owner of and involved with many family businesses both in Rehoboth Beach and Ocean City, Md.

He was a 1993 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School and was a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.  He enjoyed stamp collecting and photography and was an independent movie buff.

He is survived by his father and mother, Prem Naraindas Chatani and Neerupa Prem Chatani, and his sister, Soni Prem Chatani, all of Rehoboth Beach; his maternal grandmother, Usha Harish Mukhi and two maternal uncles, Kamlesh H. Mukhi and Kishore H. Mukhi, all of the Canary Islands, Spain; two paternal uncles, Kishore Naraindas Chatani of Rehoboth Beach and Jetho Naraindas Chatani of Ocean City; and the entire Chatani, Keswani, Nainani, Aildasani and Parwani families.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 16, at 1:30 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Rehoboth Art League, 12 Dodds Lane, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
