Shirley A. Haynie, Eastern Star member
Shirley A. Haynie, 77, of Millsboro, formerly of Linwood, Pa., went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 11, 2013.
She was born in Chester, Pa., March 3, 1936, daughter of the late John and Bertha (Hill) O’Shea. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Unity Chapter in Lewes, and the also the West Chester, Pa. chapter. Shirley was a longtime member of Long Neck United Methodist Church where she also served as the president of the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Warner “Bud” C. Haynie; five children, Denise Widdowson of Poconos, Pa., Butch Haynie of Millsboro, William Haynie of Florida, and Kathleen Bowker and Colleen Willis, both of Millsboro; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at noon, Saturday, July 27, at Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Shirley’s name to Long Neck United Methodist Church, 32051 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
