Rehoboth Beach seeking evergreen tree to light up for holidays

Rehoboth Beach Main StreetInc. is searching for a 35to 40-foot evergreen tree for its downtown Holiday Tree Lighting and Hometown Sing-along at the Rehoboth Bandstand. Anyone who thinks they have the right tree and wishes to donate it, should call RBMS at 302-227-2772.

If someone’s tree is selected, arrangements will be made to have it taken down and transported downtown.

The tree will be lit up at RBMS’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Hometown Singalong on Friday, Nov. 29, at the Rehoboth Avenue Bandstand. The generous donor of the tree will receive special recognition and be part of a Rehoboth tradition where hundreds of spectators witness the illumination of the city’s most famous Christmas tree.

The Friday after Thanksgiving is a festive night in downtown Rehoboth Beach -- and it all starts with the right tree!
