Discover Bank partners with chamber for weeknight movies, music and bonfires in Dewey
Discover Bank has partnered with the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Dewey Beach to sponsor the Monday Night Movies on the beach, Tuesday night Live at Five broadcasts and Wednesday night bonfires in Dewey Beach.
All three are free of charge; everyone is welcome and donations are appreciated.
Monday Night Movies begin at 8:30 p.m. on the beach at Dagsworthy Avenue.
The schedule is as follows: July 29 "Brave," Aug. 5 "The Odd Life of Timothy Green," Aug. 12 "Oz - The Great & Powerful," Aug. 19 "ParaNorman" and Aug. 26 "Rise of the Guardians."
Wednesday night bonfires will take place from 7:30 to 11 p.m. each week from July 24 through Aug. 28. Bring extra marshmallows for toasting.
Tuesday night Live at Five, 5 to 6 p.m. each Tuesday, began July 23 and continues through Aug. 27. Great Scott Broadcasting will broadcast live and provide DJ and music. The lifeguards will provide free play equipment including basketball, tetherball, lacrosse goals, soccer goals, wiffle ball, dodge ball and football. A lifeguard will be on duty to oversee the fun.
All events are weather permitting and at no cost.
