Bethany-Fenwick chamber announces slate for new officers, board

The Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announces the 2013-14 slate of officers and directors for the board to serve beginning Oct. 1.

Officers include President Kami Banks, Banks Wines & Spirits; President-Elect Anne Powell, the Anne Powell and Jennifer Hughes Realtor team with Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s International; Vice President Richard Mais, McCabe’s Gourmet Market; Secretary Jennifer Jones, Delaware Center for the Inland Bays; Treasurer Ron Derr, PKS & Company PA; and Immediate Past President Barbara Howard, PNC Bank.

Directors' names for three-year terms include Sara Booth, Ryan Homes; Eunice Carpitella, Transformative Dynamics; Jeff Evans, Great Scott Broadcasting; and Terri Mahoney - WMDT Television. Directors for one-year terms are Tim Haley, Blue Crab of Bethany Beach; Ernie Felici, Creative Resource Group; Jim Brannon, Atlantic General Hospital; and Rick Hundley, Baja Beach House Grill.

The 2013-14 Board of Directors induction will take place at the Member Celebration & Awards Ceremony on Oct. 17, details to be announced. Any candidates who would like to be considered for the three-year office and directorships to be filled may be placed in nomination by a petition to be signed by 5 percent of the membership in good standing and filed with Executive Director David Martin no later than noon, Aug. 31. This time will also allow chamber members in good standing to question and/or ask to disqualify nominated candidates.
