Boris 'Bo' Gosiejew, security worker

Boris “Bo” Gosciejew, 57, of Lower Burrell, Pa., passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

Born Oct. 18, 1955, in New Kensington  Pa., to the late Borys Gosciejew and Helen J. Uveges Gosciejew of Lower Burrell, he was a 1974 graduate of Burrell High School.

Bo lived in the Baltimore area from the mid '70’s to the early '90’s where he did security work for the Baltimore Colts. He was a private detective for Baltimore Security Systems Inc. where he did bodyguard work for the Rolling Stones, Charlie Daniels, Jackson Browne and many other big names when they performed in Baltimore, Md. Bo was manager for the Country Palace Lounge in Baltimore and also was a bounty hunter there before he moved to Delaware where he was head of security for Three Seasons Campgrounds. In Delaware, he was a member of the Delaware Mobile Surf Fisherman and the Lewes Cub Scouts. He moved back to the Alle-Kiski Valley in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, painting, yard work and landscaping.

Bo is survived by his children, twins, Zak and Katie of Delaware; grandson, Dylan; former wife, JoAnn; and siblings, Deanne “Diane” (Anthony) Thomas of Brackenridge, Pa., Nancy (Peter) Mohr of Washington Twp., Pa., and Jeffery Gosciejew of Springdale, Pa. and his girlfriend, Lisa. He was a father figure to Jeremy Reed; an uncle to Melissa (Reg) Rykaczewski, Chris Mohr and PJ (Kaitlin) Mohr; and a great-uncle to Audrina. Bo truly loved his family.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter Jessica “Jesse;” and his sister-in-law Diana Gosciejew.

Private services will be at the discretion of the family. Ross G. Walker Fueral Home Ltd. of New Kensington, Pa. was entrusted with the care for the Gosciejew family.
