First Delaware Jersey Mike's Subs opens near Midway July 31

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, will officially open its doors in Rehoboth Beach Wednesday, July 31.

Franchise owner Brad Mouly, along with restaurant operators John Asche and Andrew Jobes, will hold a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from July 31 to Sunday, Aug. 4, to support Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth. The new restaurant, located at 18598 Coastal Highway, Pelican Square, will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Meals On Wheels Lewes-Rehoboth.

For more than 40 years, Meals on Wheels of Lewes-Rehoboth has been making sure that homebound seniors living in Eastern Sussex County receive hot, nutritious meals each day.  In 2012, more than 111,437 meals were provided by the agency to more than 286 hungry seniors.  This tremendous feat could not be accomplished without the loyal support of the community and business partners. Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012, opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
