July 30, 2013

AT&T has turned on the nation’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network in Sussex County, including Rehoboth Beach, Bethany Beach, Lewes, Fenwick Island, Ocean View, Georgetown, Millsboro and Frankford, bringing customers the latest generation of wireless network technology.

Features include faster mobile internet speeds, up to 10 times faster than 3G; the highest success rate among providers for delivering mobile content across nationwide 4G LTE networks; new LTE-compatible devides like smartphones and tablets; lower latency or processing time for moving data through a network; and more efficient use of spectrum, creating more space to carry data traffic and services.

“We continue to see demand for mobile internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network at the Delaware beaches and in the surrounding areas responds to what customers want from their mobile experience - more, faster, reliable, on the best devices,” said J. Michael Schweder, president, AT&T Mid Atlantic.
