Sandra L. States, greatest prankster
Sandra L. States, 71, of Millsboro, formerly of New Castle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. States was born in Wilmington Nov. 21, 1941, daughter of the late Lawrence and Thelma (Graham) Fisher. Sandra will be remembered as the greatest prankster and a passionate Philadelphia Eagles fan. Her greatest love however, was her family as she was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Morris "Sam" States; a daughter Shirlann; a sister, Carol Fisher and a brother, Larry Fisher. She is survived by a daughter, Belinda and her husband Tom; four sons, Billy, Chucky, Robert and his wife Linda and Michael and his fiancé Lisa; 12 grandchildren, Willey, Jamie and her husband Greg, Dawn and her husband Jason, Traci and her husband Bud, Jen and her husband Mike, Julie, Tommy, Bobby and his wife Dominique, Kristen, Chris, Charlie and Nathan; 21 great-grandchildren and a sister, Donna Slavin.
Services and burial are private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Sandra's name to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 18941 John J. Williams Hwy., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
