Rehoboth Summer Children's Theatre winds up 2013 season

Final run of three plays begins Aug. 18

The Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre 2013 season is quickly coming to a close with performances of three plays, "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Millie and the Orange Dragon" and "The Wizard of Oz" through Aug. 27.

The final run of these family-fun shows begins Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Clear Space Theatre in downtown Rehoboth Beach with a 7 p.m. performance of "Jack and the Beanstalk." The series then moves to Epworth United Methodist Church for "The Wizard of Oz" at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20, and "Jack and the Beanstalk" at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 21. On Thursday, Aug. 22, RSCT travels up to Lewes for "Millie and the Orange Dragon," with an 11 a.m. performance at Lewes Presbyterian Church. The 32nd season of Rehoboth Summer Children’s Theatre closes with "The Wizard of Oz" at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27 at Epworth United Methodist Church.

The plays are staged in the unique, imaginative two-actor format that has thrilled audiences since the company’s founding in 1982. Fast-paced action and a sparkling sense of humor provide marvelous entertainment for family members of all ages. Tickets to all shows are $10. Clear Space Theater, 20 Baltimore Ave., is in the beach block between First Street and the ocean. Epworth United Methodist Church is just off Route 1 at 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth. Lewes Presbyterian Church is at 133 Kings Highway across from the Zwaanendael Museum.
