Steve 'Sco' Hudson, Tidewater employee
Steve "Sco" Hudson of Georgetown passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was born July 25, 1955, in Milford, the son of Jean (Chafin) Hudson and the late John L. Hudson of Georgetown.
Steve worked for Tidewater Utilities for the past seven years. He had previously worked for Draper King Cole and Allen's Family Foods. Steve was a graduate of Sussex Central High School and the University of Delaware where he earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture and was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
Steve enjoyed playing softball, golfing, and fresh water fishing. For many years, he hosted the annual NFL playoff party for the Gators softball team.
In addition to his mother, Steve is survived by his brother, Darryl Hudson and his wife Carol of Georgetown; sister, Jill Hudson Grove of Georgetown; nieces Tara Hudson Davis and husband Jeff, Teresa Mumford Scott and husband Allen; nephews, Brody Grove and Myron Brown, and great-nephew, Hank Davis, all of Georgetown.
Burial will be private. Contributions may be made in Mr. Hudson's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
