Joseph 'Wolfman' Thomas Jr., Punkin Chunkin champ

Joseph Eugene "Wolfman" Thomas Jr., passed away Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.

He was a sprinkler fitter for Local 669 for 40 years. He was a member of Punkin Chunkin and three-time world champion in the cannon division with "Old Glory." He also played on several different pool leagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph E. and Elizabeth (Hall) Thomas; and sister, Connie Dellinger. He is survived by his children, Heather Jo Thomas of Bridgeton, N.J., Joseph Jason Thomas of Vineland, N.J. and Kimberly Burke of Shady Springs, W.Va.; two sisters, Sandy Ciliberto of Delaware and Denise Marvel of Calif.; and one grandchild, Samantha Kasper.

Funeral Services were held Thursday, Aug. 22, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown. Interment was in Gracelawn Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
