Women's Club of Indian River donates to People's Place

Part of campaign against domestic violence

Members of the Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs' GFWC Women's Club of Indian River made and filled First Night Out bags and fleece blankets for People's Place in Milford as part of the DSFWC state project against domestic violence.  The club, a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs, is made up of local women with the community in mind who volunteer as mentors at Long Neck Elementary School and participate in activities at the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Orchard.

In addition, they support the Cancer Support Community's Wings of Hope at Beebe's Medical Arts Building on Route 24, the Millsboro Chamber of Commerce, Stockley Center and many other schools and organizations.  For more information or to join, call 302-947-2640. The Women's Club of Indian River meets at 10 a.m. on the second Monday of each month September through May at the Indian River Yacht Club, River Road, Millsboro.
