Leo John Medisch, Back Porch chef

Leo John Medisch, 60, of Lewes, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at his residence surrounded by his family and friends.  He was born in Dayton, Ohio, Feb. 12, 1953, son of Joseph Medisch and Phyllis (Uschold) Medisch. He was preceded in death by his partner Tom Wilson and his mother.

Leo was an executive chef by profession and was a former partner in the Back Porch Cafe of Rehoboth Beach.  He enjoyed traveling, eating and was a very avid collector and promoter of the arts.  Spending time with his family and friends and enjoying a hearty laugh were most important to him.

He  is survived by his father Joseph Medisch; five sisters, Karen Crisp and husband Ed, Jolene Hill and husband John, Susan Vania and husband Bob, Jackie Paullin and husband Jeff, Jenny Fleetwood and husband George; his nephew Mike Hill and other numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of Leo's Life will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to CAMP Rehoboth, 37 Baltimore Ave., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
