Announcing new hours after Labor Day at Beebe Medical Center’s walk-in centers

Beebe Medical Center announces extended hours at its two walk-in centers. Beebe’s Walk-In Care served hundreds of patients during the summer and will continue to serve Sussex County residents and visitors.

Millville Walk-in Care is not closing.  It is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. After Labor Day, it will be open Friday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Millsboro Walk-in Care, located on Route 113, is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. After Labor Day, it will be open daily Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Millville Walk-in Care is in the Creekside Plaza on Route 26, just five miles west of Route 1. Located in the same shopping center are the following Beebe Outpatient Services: Beebe Imaging, Beebe Lab Express and Beebe Rehab (which offers physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech and language pathology). Millsboro Walk-in Care is at 28538 DuPont Blvd. The same center offers Beebe Outpatient Services, including: Beebe Imaging and Beebe Lab Express. For more information regarding Millsboro, call (302) 934-5052.

The walk-in centers allow patients to receive non-emergency and immediate care. Examples of the illnesses and health problems that are appropriate for treatment in Beebe’s Walk-in Care include:

• Allergies
• Cough, cold, flu
• Upper respiratory infections
• Bronchitis
• Laryngitis
• Strep throat/Sore throat
• Sinus infections
• Ear infections
• Swimmer’s ear
• Minor eye infections, pink eye, styes and abrasions
• Bladder infections
• Sprains and Strains
• Minor burns, cuts and simple lacerations
• Uncomplicated neck and back pain
• Incision and drainage
• Simple splinting

In the event of a life-threatening illness or accident, please call 911. This will allow the patient to receive immediate, emergency treatment by emergency responders, and to be taken to the nearest suitable hospital emergency room.
