Andrew Michael Vaughn, 29, of Lewes, passed away Monday evening, Aug. 26, 2013, after his brave battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at Beebe Medical Center.

Andrew, a 2002 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School, was an active member of the tennis team and a trumpet player in the Cape's marching and jazz bands. Andrew also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Delaware in 2006, with a degree in accounting.

Andrew was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and earned the honor of Eagle Scout as a member of Troop 1 in Lewes. After college, Andrew enjoyed working for Berry Barlow & Warrington LLC in Rehoboth Beach. He spent leisure time detailing cars, feeding and watching birds, working out at the gym and being with his family.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Jonathan M. and Eileen L. Vaughn of Lewes, his sisters Jessica A. Parsell (brother-in-law Cassell) of Harrington and Rebecca L. Vaughn, of Callao,Va. Also surviving are Andrew's niece and nephew, Grayson and Cullen Parsell; his maternal grandmother, Lillian Dorazio of Connecticut; and paternal grandfather, Donald Vaughn of Pennsylvania.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 5:30 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Hwy., Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
