Two men face drug charges after police say a package of marijuana and mushrooms was sent to their Bethany Beach home.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service alerted Delaware State Police Aug. 27 about the pending delivery to a home in the 29000 block of Cove Way, said Master Cpl. Gary Fournier of the Delaware State Police.

The package was addressed to Danny Mutz; Dennis Martinez, 29, of Lewes signed for the package, Fournier said.

After Martinez accepted the package, Fournier said, police converged on the residence. Martinez tried to run into the home, but police arrested him. Mutz, 39, of Bethany Beach was arrested inside the home.

Inside the package, Fournier said, police found about five pounds of marijuana, 138 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, drug paraphernalia and $900 in suspected drug proceeds.

Mutz and Martinez were charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession with intent to deliver hallucinogenic mushrooms and other charges.

Mutz was released on $10,400 unsecured bond; Martinez was released on $10,900 unsecured bond.
