36th Annual Harry Derrickson Memorial Golf Tournament set Sept. 23

Meals on Wheels of Lewes-Rehoboth will host the 36th Annual Harry Derrickson Memorial Golf Tournament Monday, Sept. 23, with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start, at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

A pre-tournament dinner party is slated for 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22, also at the country club, featuring silent and live auctions.  The cost of the dinner is $75 per person and includes an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, a grand buffet/beef carving station, entrees and desserts.  Auction items include an oceanfront getaway vacation in the Outerbanks, a selection of wines, artwork, catered parties, sports memorabilia and more.

For more than 40 years, Meals on Wheels of Lewes-Rehoboth has been making sure that homebound seniors living in Eastern Sussex County receive hot, nutritious meals each day. In 2012, more than 111,437 meals were provided to more than 286 clients.  This could not be accomplished without the loyal support of community and business partners.
